Fused Glass SCHOOL WINDOW at St Martin's Shouldham
Books
|
I work with glass, fusing layers to make dishes and other objects. I like working to commission, creating windows to add colour or to replace frosted glass or net curtains. I teach and work with children at the Stained Glass Museum in Ely, the latest window has been installed at St Martin's School in Shouldam, Norfolk. As an author, I used just my first name, Althea. I started writing in the late 60's, my main character being Desmond the Dinosaur, a series which I illustrated myself. Many of the books that I wrote a while ago are now 'Out of Print', I can provide copies of some titles, and hope to make others available through Lulu.com. The first title on the Lulu website is Making a Car, illustrated by Tim Hunkin. By popular request I have now added Smith the Lonely Hedgehog. Some of my books are written to help explain new or difficult situations to children. Following on from Dyslexia (2003), the latest title in the Talking it Through series is Be Careful (2005) a book on home safety.
